Even though PET bottles do not get damaged visually when storing sodium chlorite in them doesn't mean some chemical reaction isn't taking place that contaminates sodium chloride to some degree. I can not find where I saw this but Jim Humble says to use glass preferably but also says HDPE is OK. However, I have heard others like you say HDPE bottles can split so glass is best. It may be that some thicker better quality HDPE bottles aren't so much of a problem. One of the few places Genesis church recommends to buy MMS from is Pure Living Store at
pureliving.store/
and they have used HDPE bottles for a long time. If they had customers complaining about the bottles splitting I would image they would have changed bottles some time ago.

Hi Michael,
Just out of curiosity - what's the current rate $$ on a 500 lb drum do you know? That would be the best way to go obviously.
Thanks
Shane
