Hamsters- anyone treated a Hamster? was created by Pedcat
Hi, I have a poorly hamster. She is my granddaughter’s and over 2 years old not well, looks like she may have tumour in her mouth pouch.
has anyone any experience of treating them?
I have calculated a dose from Jim’s book but can it be given in her water with the metal tip? Am worried she may break a glass pipettes with her teeth.
any help/advice kindly received

Could you not just put Sodium Chlorite into the hamster's water bowl rather than activate it and force it to drink. The hamster's stomach acid will then activate the sodium chlorite (MMS) into MMS1 (chlorine dioxide).
Not sure of the stomach acid of a hamster though. Dogs have heavy stomach acid.

I’ve looked up PH and I can only find Guinea pig at 2.9.
but she has never drunk out of a bowl so doubt she will take it in a bowl.
I will giving it to her from a syringe or maybe on her food
if anyone has experience would be grateful to hear it

Chlorine dioxide will obviously be first prize but if that doesn't work, trying the unactivated sodium chlorite could be an option.I’ve looked up PH and I can only find Guinea pig at 2.9.
